Just wanted to take a poll and see how many of you like playing in the popup window versus opening the game into the same browser window.

I answered popup by accident while trying to figure out how polling worked in this forum ... :-P

I actually have no preference. What I would like to see is a real link from the alpha home page to the forums. Right now you can't right-click on the link and open the forum in a new tab/window. It gives you a javascript redirect.

I am actually planning on merging the alpha stuff into the main public web, the alpha pages will redirect once that happens. I was going to get rid of the popup window and just have the page open into the same browser window with some links at the top for the public site, forums, blogs, etc. I can make it so those links pop a new window, which should open into another tab, depending on your browser setup.

Just trying to get all of my assets into one web, makes for easier management of pages and such.

I vote same window. If I wanted to play the game in another window, then I can right click the link and choose to do so, but if it always pops up automatically, then you are just alienating the group of people that wouldn't want that to play in that fashion.

That is a good point, I originally did the popup to maximize browser space, although it doesn't seem a big deal these days with most monitors and resolutions being large enough to handle it.
