Bugs1. The list of NPC's and corpses disappear when using the QWEASDZXC movement shortcuts to move into an invalid direction while in a room with NPC's or corpses. 2. The inventory system fails to update item locations when moving things within backpacks/bags and equipped items. 3. Game slows down every once in a while, probably due to server limitations. 4. If you press the X button on an item to drop it, your character will be broken and you will be unable to log back into the game. 5. Many skills have no effect or provide no benefit. 6. Characters persist in game world long after logging out. 7. When I'm spamming the attack button on a monster and he kills me, I sometimes get hit again after I get resurrected. This could be really bad if the monster is a "one hit kill" monster, as I will lose experience twice. 8. Selecting two weapon skills that add items (try daggers and swords) will cause the character to be broken by showing the "Loading player object" error due to the fact that the game tries to place the different weapons in the same slot. This also occurs when a player chooses the "Fighter" prefab because it selects multiple weapon skills. 9. Clicking the "Build" button causes the game to hang at "Loading item templates..." 10. Purchasing the "Armor" spells causes them to appear twice in the spell book after logging out and back in. Attempting to remove one of the duplicates causes both to disappear, forcing the player to repurchase the spell. Suggestions1. When shopping at an NPC, make all of the player's equipped items and bags become highlighted, so that they may know which items and bags they are currently using. 2. Allow targeting of players by clicking their name while in the same room. I was attempting to shield/heal a player but was unable to do so even with the 'Target Alias' command as it said "This player is currently engaged with someone else" even if they wern't.

Thanks Leandro, I will take a look at these issues. Hoping to improve #3 with the next update. As for #4, you can not log back in or can not play that character again? #5 Not all skills are valid for play during the alpha, probably wasn't the best idea to even allow them to be selected but hoping to clear this up very soon.

That is right, I can not log back in at all, I had to delete the character.

You didn't need to delete the Character, I am sure I could have repaired it for you.

Clearing the entire cache didn't work for me, I even tried different browsers. Once I let it sit on the loading screen while I went out to eat, but it was still frozen when I came back. I don't really mind deleting the character, I would have done it anyways. Right now I'm not exactly trying to play the game, I am actively bug hunting and sometimes it requires that I delete the character. I just want this game to work as flawlessly as possible because I love these types of games. I used to play a lot of MUDs but was always thrown off by the ASCII. Perenthia solves this for me. I have also noticed on occasion that when I am playing, if I restart the browser and the Perenthia client, if I delete the character that I was playing with and create a new character, I can basically "meet" the deleted character in game. At one point I remember seeing a deleted character for 5+ hours, sitting in the spot where I closed the client. I'll have to test this out some more and figure out which variables cause this. I believe an inactive player should time out of the game within a short amount of time.

I appreciate the play testing, just wanted to let you know I can fix most of the things through data changes if need be. I grabbed the last deleted character you had and am looking over why it errors out when attempting to re-connect. Do you happen to remember what item you dropped? As for the loading screen hanging, it shouldn't sit there and hang for more than a few minutes, it is just downloading a bunch of text that defines your character, items and the immediate area around your character. With the new changes I am putting in place for 1.0.9 you will have the option to store all of this information on your local hard, which will cause the first time load to be slower as you download a bunch of content but after that you will be reading the information from your hard drive with each play session. The Silverlight plugin allows for a type of isolated storage, the plugin does not present any knowledge of your hard drive or its files, it only knows how to write into one directory. I am still working on some of this, going to have the maps download in chunks behind the scenes while you play rather than all up front so we will see how that goes. :) I have noticed disconnected characters remaining in game, they should be removed from the online cache but they don't seem to be cleaned up properly. The characters are attached essentially to your user account so that might be why you can see it for so long while playing since your connection remains active all of that time. I will look into again once I get some of these other bugs taken care of. Glad you are enjoying the game! :)

I could see how that would be a problem :)

Quote:Do you happen to remember what item you dropped? Try this: Create a character with no combat skills, you should start out with a fist item. Drag the fist to your bag, then drop it. Log out, and attempt to log back in. It will freeze on "Loading player object...". Clearing the cache or changing browser does not solve this. I will try it with other items as well. EDIT: I created a new character, and I dropped the water item and the same thing happened. I can confirm that dropping items is broken. Even if somehow after 3 hours it lets me back into the game, something is still not working correctly. New Bug: Selecting two weapon skills that add items will cause the character to be broken by showing the "Loading player object" error due to the fact that the game tries to place the different weapons in the same slot. This also occurs when a player chooses the "Fighter" prefab because it selects multiple weapon skills.
