I haven't seen one skill increase yet, Daggers, Life or Air.

Is skill level limited to character level now?

I know you said there were limits, but I was figuring it'd be higher than character level.

It should allow higher than your current level, I will take a look at it though, might have restricted it too much with the code I put in to cap it.

Around how many uses of a skill does it require to get a skillup?

Is it different for spell skill verses other skills like Dagger?

Should we be getting skillups from casting Sheild spells?

Minor Healing did finally give me one skillup.

I found some issues with the restrictions I put in once you achieved a higher level skill, I think I have it worked out now so I will push it with the next release.

Any use of a skill should increase it, the amount that it is increased depends on the level of your current skill. The skill value is a actually a floating point number so as you increase in skill the decimal place that increases moves farther from 0.

In general, what is the formula for skill increase?

It seems like most of my skills got stuck at 3 at best.

It took around 300 casts of Earth Sheild to go from 2 to 3 skill

The skill value is a floating point number and skill increases start at 0.025 and go down from there. I also implemented some of the suggested skill check logic wherein a chance of increase decreases the higher your skill level above the weapon or spell's required skill value. For instance, a dagger which requires a skill value of 1 will have the chance of skill increased limited once your skill gets above 4 so that skill increases are further apart. Once I get some more weapons and spells into the game you will be able to trade up to continue skill increases.
