I don't know if it was intentional, but I have noticed today that casting Minor Healing with a Life skill level of 3 results in about a 75% failure rate... If that was the intent, may I suggest that you cut the failure rate for this spell down a bit? After all, it is the lowest level healing and you do not seem to gain any skill experience from casting it sucessfully.
Thanks, Terrin

its the same with renew health too (actually I dont know how I was able to cast that as it said you dont have enough skill in the area needed, but then it got added to my action bar anyway, however since logging out and in again now, it wont work again)... I only started to notice this after level 10 My Perenthia CharactersErnzorCavey

Good point brought up by Ernzor.... I just hit level 10 yesterday, so it could be a level 10+ feature that is working properly.

side note....
Sometimes, when a spell fails, I get the standard notice: 'Your spell fizzles out with no effect.'
but occasionally I get that plus the following: 'Morkdau attempts to cast a spell on you but the spell fizzles out with no AFFECT.'
Pretty sure this second message only happens when I target myself but, either way, the spelling should be changed to effect.

Level 10 is the cap for always successful spells, however, you should always succeed when you have more than enough points in a spell so I will look into that. I will also have a look at the usage of the effect word. :)
